Surgical Care

The Surgical Department consists of four surgery rooms, one procedural room and one endoscopy room. The comfortable, friendly and community-oriented environment at Jennings American Legion can be ideal for patients who are intimidated or uncomfortable by the prospect of a medical procedure.

Staffed by a nationally certified OR nursing team, the department offers a wide range of surgical procedures:

• General surgery, including laproscopic gallbladder, appendix and hernia repairs;
• Thoracic surgery
• Peripheral vascular surgery
• ENT surgery, including laser tonsillectomies
• Orthopedic surgery, including total knee, hip and shoulder replacements; knee and back surgery and knee and shoulder scopes
• Limited plastic and reconstructive surgery
• OB/GYN surgeries, including C-sections, ablations and laproscopic tubals
• Endoscopy, including gastroscopes and colonoscopy
