Laboratory

The Laboratory at Jennings American Legion Hospital provides services to all patients from birth to geriatrics in all settings of the facility, including those seeking inpatient, outpatient and emergency treatment. The lab also services patients from outside the facility, such as those in homes, schools, businesses, doctors’ offices, nursing homes, clinics and home health agencies.

The Laboratory offers a broad range of services that include hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, serology, chemistry, therapeutic drug monitoring, drug screening, blood bank, microbiology and point of care testing. Pathology services are provided by The Pathology Laboratory physicians, who perform frozen sections, bone marrows and other diagnostic procedures. The lab also sponsors blood drives four times a year in coordination with LifeShare Blood Center.

The hospital lab is well-equipped to assist physicians and other health care professionals in the diagnosis, screening and continued treatment of its hospital and community members.
