Jennings American Legion Hospital offers the only cardiac catheterization lab facility for patients on the Interstate 10 corridor between Lake Charles and Lafayette. Without the availability of this modernized facility, local residents would have to travel 40-45 minutes to receive cardiac treatment and testing.

The hospital offers diagnostic coronary angiography, nuclear stress testing, echocardiograms and other outpatient services to those who have recently experienced an MI, coronary artery bypass grafting, stable angina, PTCA/stent, valve replacement or heart transplant. The physician-supervised program at Jennings American Legion Hospital utilizes state-of-the-art telemetry monitoring to help patients grow stronger physically and to assist with lifestyle modification. The staff includes a registered dietician, available for one-on-one counseling, as well as experienced and skilled registered nurses.

The facility is housed in a newly-renovated 5,000-square-foot area of the hospital, which was designed specifically for the new catheterization lab and cardiac rehabilitation area.
